A look back at 2024
Challenges, triumphs, and team-defining moments… 2024 was certainly a year to remember for Alinghi Red Bull Racing! From getting to grips with BoatOne, welcoming the fans to our Barcelona Base and historic firsts like the Women’s America’s Cup, every month brought something new.
While it would be impossible to cover everything, here’s a look at some of the milestones from an extraordinary year…

January: We kicked off 2024 by heading back to Jeddah, where the winter conditions were perfect for some match racing practice in the AC40s.
February: After months and months of hard work in Écublens, BoatOne was finally complete. Packed up carefully to hide the true lines of the hull, it was shipped off to its new home in Barcelona.

March: As BoatOne touched down in Barcelona, we put BoatZero on display right outside the Team Base. After 124 days of sailing on our first AC75, it was time to enter the next phase...
April: We made a splash with BoatOne's grand unveiling, then it wasn’t long before it hit the water as our team got to grips with its new custom-designed AC75.
May: The Youth & Women squads hit the waters of Barcelona for the first time, launching into an intensive training camp in the AC40.
June: Excitement was in the air in Barcelona as BoatZero went on display and we opened our FanZone to the public. Even David Beckham dropped by the base!

July: We welcomed 10,000 fans to our Open Doors Day, where they met the team, enjoyed thrilling acrobatic displays by Red Bull athletes, and watched the world’s first-ever Cyclors Cup.
August: The Challenge starts to get real, with our first taste of AC75 racing in official practice races against the other teams. Bouncing back from a second mast failure, the team made a herculean effort to get back on the water only 24 hours later, switching to full Race Mode in time for the Preliminary Regatta.

September: Crunch time! In the Louis Vuitton Cup, we sailed through the Round Robin, went up against the British for the Semi-Finals, and gave it everything we had… and then the Youth America’s Cup started.
October: History was made as the first Women’s America’s Cup kicked off, with the Alinghi Red Bull Racing Women’s squad taking on the wildly unpredictable conditions of Barcelona.
November: With racing behind us, it was time to shift gears to debrief mode, taking all the lessons from the campaign and shining a light on what went on behind the scenes.
December: As the year wrapped up, so did the campaign, marking the perfect moment to reflect on the unforgettable memories from our journey with Alinghi Red Bull Racing.
What does 2025 have in store? We’re just as excited as you to find out…
