Arthur Cevey left home at a really young age, went his own way and achieved the goals against all the odds. He started sailing in 2012, after he discovered the boats working for Philippe Durr’s shipyard in Versoix. He said he was first attracted to sailing due to the: “diversity of skills needed to become a good sailor.”
He joined the Centre d’Entraînement à la Régate to sail the Surprise monohulls and the Tour de France à la Voile, before moving to Match Racing. He joined Team Tilt in 2016, to improve his skills in multihulls. Arthur also represented Team Tilt and Switzerland at the last Red Bull Youth America’s Cup in 2017, where the team finished third.
At Alinghi Red Bull Racing, Arthur is, in his own words: “one of the strong guys in the sailing crew, and flight controller on the GC32.”
He joined the team because he believes the team has a good chance of success and that he is surrounded by lots of talented people with great experience that will put everything in place to reach this goal! Arthur also sees the America’s Cup as the Holy Grail of sailing.
Away from sailing Arthur enjoys freediving, freestyle rollerblading and mountain biking, he also claims he’s the best cook in the team.
